Welcome to my new site. I've been taking photos all my life and remember vividly getting my first camera... and consequently my first developed set of prints - all the photos were of thumbs and people with no heads. I'm pretty confident I've improved since then!
I took photography A-Level whilst still as school and that is what inspired my real passion for it and I've been shooting ever since.
I use a Canon digital SLR and Photoshop to crop and process my images these days but my heart lies with the old processes and styles with one of my favourite photographers being Andre Kertesz.
My main interest is travel photography - trying to capture that fascination we all feel when we're somewhere new. I also have done some commission events work and have also had some of my portraiture published as editorial images in Amateur Photographer Magazine. At the moment I am completing a diploma in professional photography and working on promotional work for bands and private events such as christenings and weddings. I do both studio and outdoor work for these commissions, but prefer outdoor candid styles.
